How to choose a durable and beautiful gas stove from AZ that not everyone knows
1/ Choose the type of stove according to your needs
There are two main types of gas stoves on the market: surface gas stoves and built-in gas stoves.
- Gas stove: the biggest feature is easy to install and cheap price, so it is popular with many families because of its cheap price and easy installation.
- Built-in gas stove: has a more beautiful design and is more aesthetic when saving installation space, easy to clean.
Built-in gas stove | Gas stove | |
Advantage | Easy installation. High-end gas stove is equipped with many utilities (warming head, automatic gas cut-off...) Beautiful design, high aesthetics Quick cleaning. | Affordable Easy installation. High-end gas stove is equipped with many utilities (warming head, automatic gas cut-off...) |
Disadvantages | Fixed installation, non-removable. The price is quite high, on average about 2 million or more. | It takes a lot of time to clean the kitchen and surrounding area. Easy to rust, durability reduced if not cleaned regularly. |
2/ Countertop material
Gas stoves are designed with many types of materials at different prices. If you are looking for the most economical gas stove, there will be models with electrostatic paint, non-stick coated metal or stainless steel. More advanced and durable will be equipped with glass material, easy to clean and bring more luxury.
Built-in gas stoves are equipped with tempered glass or Schott glass. That is also the reason why the price of built-in gas stoves will be higher.
3/ Number of furnaces
Normally, a gas stove has 1-2 burners, a built-in gas stove has 2-6 burners.
You need to choose the appropriate number of ovens based on your family's cooking needs.
For Vietnamese families, 2-burner stoves are the most popular, suitable for standard families of 2-4 people, suitable for the frequency and needs of housework, and also save installation space.
In addition, a standard gas stove will have burners placed at least 15cm apart to avoid collision between pots.
4/ Design, size
If you want a gas stove with a simple design and easy to install, a rectangular or square gas stove is the right choice.
The important thing is that the installation location is convenient for cooking, safe to use, in harmony with the overall design and tidy in the kitchen space, avoiding moisture that causes rust, reducing the life of the stove.

There are 2 common types of systems on gas stoves today:
- Magneto ignition system: very popular in gas stoves, stands out for its durability, no need to change batteries, however the disadvantage is that it is less sensitive.
- IC ignition system: uses battery (there are small batteries that last 3 months or large batteries that last 6 - 9 months), easy to turn on the stove, helps reduce gas loss when turning on the stove and is safe to use.
6/ Burner material
Gas stove burners are usually made from materials such as brass, cast iron, enameled steel or aluminum alloy. Aluminum alloy burners are the cheapest, so they are limited in durability; enameled steel burners are only available in internal burners, saving gas; cast iron burners are durable; and brass is anti-oxidizing and gives a blue flame that does not blacken the bottom of the pot.
7/ Reputable brand
Currently on the market there are many product models from different brands. However, choosing reputable brands, clear product origin and reputable warranty policies will help you have safer kitchen choices with better quality.
